Dr. Virgil Iordache, Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Advanced Science Research Centre of the City University of New York/CUNY, presented the results of his research project at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies and CUNY, within two events marking the conclusion of his program.
The discussions explored topics related to reductionist and autonomist methodologies in biology and environmental sciences and their relevance for including the stoichiometry of nutrients and toxic elements in the agendas of Long-Term Ecological Research and Critical Zone Observatories. The results will be published in two co-authored articles, together with Peter Groffman, Professor, Environmental Sciences Initiative, CUNY, who mentored Dr. Iordache’s scientific activities during the Fulbright program.
